After an initially cautious and subdued approach, I am now running headlong into this ranting idea. It's almost like therapy for someone who didn't realise they needed it. An output in which to slag off a world that doesn't necessarily always agree with me. SUPERB!!!

This time, the victim of my venomous tongue happens to be this so-called"war". "Oohh, topical", I hear you cry at the back. And yes, normally I would shy away from such heat-of-the-moment issues, but this topic is so much more than merely a political and physical fight between good and evil. It has become like a cross section examination of the modern society in which we inhabit. There are so many view points, opinions, rants and rages being offered from every corner, it is like a big world wide psychology lesson.

First of all, there isn't really a war is there ? To quote the late, great Bill Hicks "A war is when TWO armies fight........so there you have it". I'm not taking sides here, but surely this doesn't qualify as one of the greatbattles of our time. Big old America, with their army of psychotic rednecks willing to lay down their scrawny existences for Uncle Sam and Momma's apple pie verses 3 men with towels on their heads and only pointy sticks to defend themselves with. WAR ? I don't think so. Slaughter, closer to the nail, if not right on it's head.

"It is a fight against terrorism and NOT against the Islamic race" we are told . "Hoorah!" we all shout. "We are only taking out military targets and limiting the number of civilian casualties to as little as possible" we are told. "God bless America" is the reply.

WELL HOLD ON A MINUTE !! I don't mean to upset that apple cart, or be the proverbial spanner in the works but................HOW THE FUCK DO WE KNOW THAT ? Coming from a nation with not exactly the biggest reputation for telling the truth to it's people, and is not universally seen by anyone with one iota of a brain cell as "the land of the free", I'm beginning to feel the pangs of suspicion. I don't wanna be seen as some conspiracy theory nerd, or some X-files watching prick but surely what we are being shown is highly censored ?In order to keep up spirits on the home front and to keep old redneck Bush sitting pretty in the Whitehouse with the people behind him, we are shown pictures of America hunting out the evil terrorists and dropping food for the starving people of Afghanistan who are beaten with sticks every day and forced to drink their own piss by the evil Taliban. I have no doubt in my mind that these terrorists ARE a threat to the very civilised society we think of as home, and I hope they burn in hell for what they did on Sept 11, BUT I am becoming increasingly sickened by the view we are given by the whiter than white American forces. Surely this must ring a few bells to us ? Propaganda of this level has surfaced on many occasions but none as memorable as in the second world war, when the Nazi party hoodwinked a nation into believing their cause was right and true through the propaganda films shown to the public.

My main point is that we are such a powerful race of beings. Our greatest ever evolutionary step was gaining the ability to think, yet so many people in the world fail to use this gift. Happy to be led along through life and get fed the information that the powers that be want us to be fed. What if this is our only chance ? What if we have one shot at life and that's it. Don't you wanna say you were your own person? That you lived how you wanted to live, believed what you wanted to believe, and became who you wanted to be ? We have the resources to do this, and we have the ability, all it takes is just a little bit of thought.
